Afrobeats singer-songwriter Fave has asked an anonymous admirer to stop sending her flowers, describing the gesture as "weird."

The Baby Riddim hitmaker shared photos of a bouquet she received on her social media pages on Tuesday, making it clear she was uncomfortable with gifts from unidentified senders.

"I don't want to know you. Don't send me anonymous flowers. It's weird," she wrote.

In a follow-up post, the singer reiterated her stance, insisting that she did not appreciate anonymous gestures and would rather people identify themselves than leave her guessing.

Fave did not disclose who sent the flowers, whether the bouquet included a note, or if there had been previous attempts to contact her.

Born Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, Fave rose to prominence with her breakout single Baby Riddim and has since established herself as one of Afrobeats' leading singer-songwriters. Her catalogue includes songs such as Mr Man, Obsessed and Belong to You, while she also featured on Davido's Grammy-nominated track Kante from his Timeless album.
