Diadem Says She Returned ₦5m Birthday Gift From Dabota Lawson, Alleges Blogger Attacks
Beauty entrepreneur Diadem has accused socialite and entrepreneur Dabota Lawson of allegedly involving bloggers in personal disputes, while revealing that she once returned a ₦5 million birthday gift sent to her by Lawson.
Diadem made the claims in a lengthy Snapchat post while speaking about her reported fallout with the entrepreneur.
According to Diadem, Lawson sent her ₦5 million as a birthday gift, which she publicly acknowledged at the time. However, she claimed she was later informed that the money was part of a “girl’s game” and needed to be returned.
Diadem said she returned the money immediately.
She also alleged that Lawson had been sharing information about her and some of her friends with blogger Cutie Juls.
“Every time you fall out with someone, it seems like your first instinct is to use bloggers to tear them down,” Diadem alleged in her post.
The beauty entrepreneur further claimed that the alleged use of blogs was not limited to her, saying she had observed what she described as a similar pattern involving some of Lawson’s other friends.
Diadem said she had previously asked Lawson to stay away from her and maintained that she did not want to be involved in further controversies surrounding their relationship.
She also called on Lawson to stop mentioning her name, saying she did not want to be “used, manipulated, or dragged into unnecessary drama.”
The allegations have added another layer to the reported fallout between Diadem and Dabota Lawson, with the ₦5 million transfer and subsequent refund becoming a major point of discussion online.
While Diadem shared her account of the incident and reportedly provided evidence of the financial transaction, her claims about Lawson allegedly using bloggers to attack people remain allegations and have not been independently established.
