Nigerian singer Omah Lay has described his album, 'Clarity of Mind,' as the greatest Afrobeats album of all time.

The singer made the claim during his August 2024 appearance on The Zach Sang Show, while discussing the album then being prepared for release. In his words, he said:

"Look, I wanted to make the greatest Afrobeats album of all time. Not just make a good album, not just make a great album. I wanted to make the greatest Afrobeats album of all time. And I think I did. Because I say it is, what else?"

Clarity of Mind was eventually released on April 3, 2026, four years after Omah Lay’s debut album, Boy Alone.

The 12-track project includes “Artificial Happiness,” “Jah Jah Knows,” “Canada Breeze,” “Water Spirit,” “Don’t Love Me,” “Coping Mechanism,” “Julia,” “Waist,” “Mary Go Round,” “I Am,” “Holy Ghost,” and “Amen.”
